About L.W.D. LLC.

L.W.D. LLC Founders

Twin nurses Chiquita and Marquita Hubbard personally and professionally relate to those living with disabilities and their caregivers. First nurses, then parents (one to disabled children), and later caregivers to terminally ill family members, they saw a lack of coordination of care and resources. They believed that knowledge is power and that they could make a difference. They joined different organizations and received additional credentials to help them to engage, advocate, and support their community. Together, they started L.W.D. LLC providing fun activities and educational resources for all ages, teaching all that with love and support from our family, friends, and community, Together #WeCanLWD.

Twin nurses Chiquita and Marquita Hubbard, started L.W.D. LLC in 2017 because they saw and felt the confusions, lack of healthcare coordination and community assistance that was available
to those caring for or living with disabilities. First nurses, then parents (one to disabled children), and later caregivers to terminally ill family
members, they saw a lack of coordination of care and resources. They believed that knowledge was power and that they could make a difference. So, together, they started L.W.D. Stories And Testimonies

Your story is yours to tell, and I can almost guarantee you that your account can inspire and teach someone to live with disabilities. Check out some Stories and Testimonies from L.W.D. founders, members, and their community.

The Hubbard Twins from L.W.D. LLC. embody the true meaning of community ambassadors. When I first was informed that L.W.D. would be handling my consumer directed needs, I was concerned that I was going to get another uninterested person to handle my case, but that truly wasn’t the case. When I met them, it was a whole vibe. We talked and talked about what my needs were in addition to what I wanted for my community, and they provided me with ideas on how to help them help ourselves. Living with a disability is hard and takes a toll on loved ones and yourself, so I was happy to know that they also endured the struggle when they shared a piece of their personal life with me; they get it. I can contact L.W.D. day or night, and they are quick to respond. They even went over and beyond by making sure I had coverage after I was released from the hospital. Why wouldn’t you want to work with such a caring and compassionate group of people like that? I feel blessed to have been put in contact with them and hope we continue to foster an amazing relationship.

LWD’s “help in a bag” has been beneficial to me as a therapist. The bag offers a variety of sensory, fidget toys, and tools for you to choose from. In addition to supporting sensory needs, LWD’s “help in a bag” has helped with teaching early communicators how to appropriately request items that they would like to engage with. During sessions, clients are always motivated to open my bag and discover new things that they may enjoy. I love to keep a bag full of options for clients to choose from in time of need. I definitely recommend LWD’s “help in a bag” for all service providers.

Dear Living With Disabilities (LWD): I would like to express my earnest appreciation to you and your staff for serving my family as one of the best service facilitators we’ve ever had. There have been countless times where you guys worked diligently behind the scenes, ensuring my loved ones were receiving the best possible care, treatment, and medical supplies that they could get. You’ve even given me knowledge of benefits we qualified for but was never told by others. Honestly, you guys have given me knowledge of benefits and services that made living with disabilities much easier to live with. Me and my family needed facilitators like you, and we are lucky that you agreed to help us during our time of need. We are highly obliged for the time and effort you have put in as our service facilitator. Thank you again for all you’ve done in helping me and my family. Sincerely,

        Zesus Harden
